Club News: New Location & Date for 2016 Dayton Carvers’ Artistry in Wood

Dayton-Move-Map-Graphic“We are moving the 2016 Dayton Artistry in Wood Show to the Roberts Centre, near Wilmington, Ohio,” announced the show’s co-chairmen, Don Worley and Ken Bedel, in early January. The move is in response to a change in ownership of the Dayton Airport Expo Center, the longtime home of the show. Effective June 2016, the facility will not be available for events.

After searching for a site large enough to accommodate the show, in a convenient location, with available dates, club representatives chose the Robert Centre. According to Don and Ken, the new facility “offers everything under one roof—Holiday Inn motel, Max & Erma’s Restaurant, plenty of free parking, and a large exhibition area.”

The date change resulted from the venue change. Convention centers book months, and even years, in advance. The Roberts Centre had an opening in early September, so the club snapped it up. The new show dates are September 3-4, 2016.

“As usual, we expect our show to continue to be the largest and best show of its kind for our exhibitors, vendors, and visitors,” said Ken and Don. “We hope you plan to be with us again as we continue to provide the very best experience possible for all.”

Dayton Carvers’ Artistry in Wood show will take place Sept. 3-4, 2016, at the Roberts Centre, 123 Gano Rd., Wilmington, OH 45177.
