Way to go Forrest, great job on that fellow. I have to laugh at all the turkey hunters in our area. We see turkeys going across our back field at least once or twice a week and yet I have a young nephew that goes hunting quite often and usually gets nothing. Lots of times we'll have to stop the car to let a dozen or so cross the road, and believe me, they are never in any hurry when that happens. Good work buddy.

Forrest, that's a really nice piece! I love the way you use the old wood for starters. It begins with "character" and you've added just the right touch!

Corey,Im not a big hunter, haven been hunting since I was around 10-12 yrs old, loved to coon hunt then. Your son being a turkey hunter, should have seen the turkey box calls I made last year! Heres a pict of the only one I kelp from 2 doz of them. The box is wormy chestnut and the carved lid/paddle is walnut.

Thanks for your nice comments Corey! Forrest

Great carving Forrest, love the depth of the trees and fauna. Excellent painting too, Captured the oh thats not really hen calling or is it look. Thats one nice jake. He'll be a beauty of a longbeard in short order. I love to hunt turkeys. Great challenge to call them in close. Taste great smoked or baked. Great box call, Love the wormy chestnut. Need to check around for some old barn wood.
