In Woodcarving Illustrated Fall 2015 (Issue 72), we review the new SawStop Jobsite Saw. This portable table saw combines power and accuracy with the latest in safety technology. The SawStop technology instantly detects if skin comes into contact with the blade and immediately slams a brake into the blade and drops the blade below the surface of the table. This is one case where showing a video demonstrates the safety features much more than a written review, so we created a video of the test (with the industry accepted finger substitute: a hot dog).
